Tom and Calvin Day 1

My guys are home at last! And they brought back some cool pix of their trip, along with some sunburns, bug bites, and stinkyness. Calvin evidently was quite the ladies man, and Tom saved the day with his wily wilderness skills. Tom had to come back a day early to take the physical exam for the Baltimore City PD, but we joined Calvin on Saturday for a Pioneer Trek family picnic.

Girls night out

This morning bright and early I sent my men off to AP camp/Trek. Fortunately they left before Jack woke up, and I'm watching a few of his friends today so he won't be quite as upset. So, what to do with a house full of girls? Well, if the baby wasn't sick, we'd make nighties, maybe walk around the mall, do some cooking, paint our nails, and watch some chick flicks. Maybe we'll still watch the chick flicks......

Unemployment

So, we've been jobless for a little while now. I thought I would be more scared, or worried, or stressed or something, but I'm more OK with it then I thought I would be. I love having my husband home with me all the time, and working with him on his jobhunt. Plus, it's easier to spend time with the kids when you have more day options. For those who don't know, Tom is applying at all the local law enforcement agencies and is currently halfway through PG county, Baltimore City, MD State troopers, and the Dept of Corrections' proccesses. Wish us luck :)

Graduation

School is out once again, but this year it's a little different. Calvin and Savannah will be going to middle school next year, so Rayzel will be walking to school with Jack by herself :( We got to go to the kids advancement ceremony which was really nice. Lots of awards were sent home, and some were awarded at the graduation. Savannah was recognized for her participation in WHHTV, the school news station, where she read the news, and various other announcements. Amazingly enough she also got an award for Athletic Excellence, which is weird because she hates being outside, hates running or any other physical exertion, and randomly falls over all the time! Crazy. Anyway, these are some pics of the graduation and some from the kids last concert, at the end of May. Rayzel plays the violin, not well, but she really enjoys it, Calvin plays the trumpet, and he's pretty good, but needs to practice more, and Savannah was in both Chorus and Band this year. She had another solo, and she played the bass drum most of the time, but also played the triangle and snare drum. Grandma and Grandpa Mollenhauer and uncle Allen were able to come out for the concert, and the kids were thrilled :) I took some videos, but was unable to download them.
