Spring Break Part 2

More pics from our trip to OC last spring.....I really love writing about it, but it takes me longer, I get less stuff posted and I end up more behind so I will try to keep it short...plus, picture are supposed to be worth a thousand words, so really, I rock ;)

Our lunch spot....they had kids meals for $1.75 and big portions :)

 Nana and Rayzel
Betsy and Evie

James found his tongue.....

Jack :)

Lunch is served!

Babies are hungry!

We spent a lot of time in the pool at the hotel...it was a nice pool, only 3 and a half feet deep in the deep end....it was not too chemically, and fairly warm. They alternated between the pool and the hot tub. I didn't get too many pictures at the pool, but I did get a couple of videos of James trying to swim.

When we weren't at the pool, we were mostly at the park. I posted those pics already, but I forgot to post this video of James' monkey moves...watch the whole thing to see his acrobatics twice from two different angles.....

The Things You See In Las Vegas

My Girls

Rayzel got a birthday present this year from a boy in the neighborhood....nothing says 'I Love You' like a little bling ;)
It was a locket that had pictures of him and her in it.....

Nana is no stranger to gifts from boys either.....on Valentines day she got chocolates from a secret admirer, and homemade flowers from a boy at church....

And for her birthday, this same boy from church made her a ring out of a dollar bill and a dime, and bought her a key chain with her name on it.....

They grow up so fast......

It's Birthday Recap Time Again

I have no pictures of Rayzel's birthday and no pics of Nana's birthday for the second year in a row. I am officially a crappy mom. We had a party for rayzel and we had lots of family in town to be there. We had a 'Draw the Best Rayzel' contest with an art kit as first prize. Rayzel was the judge. It was so much fun!

Nana got lots of cold hard cash this year for her birthday, and we spent a few hours at the mall trying to figure out what she wanted to spend it on. She was a good girl though, and put most of it away for college. She did get to share Jack's birthday celebration though.....

We did something a little unusual for Jack this year, we took him to a place that has a Man VS Food competition. They happen to have pretty awesome milkshakes there and we thought that since he make the funniest faces ever that this would be a great thing to try. We were not disappointed.

Jack ran out of room and then Nana took over the enormous task of drinking the milkshake.....

And then everybody else got some.....we broke it down into cups and passed them around.....good birthday :)

We decided to actually do a cool cake for James birthday this year. Normally he doesn't really notice/care what we do, but I wanted to give him the chance, and I'm glad I did! Not a lot of progress in the present opening department, but he loved his cake and the candles, he got all excited and yelled and wiggled. Tom still had to blow the candles out for him, but, it's a start. He walked around the next few days whispering 'Happy Birthday' to himself too :)

James really liked the tool set he got for his birthday....

Especially the measuring tape.........

Calvin had a pretty good birthday too.....he requested a white chocolate mint birthday cake....it wasn't too hard to improvise though, thank goodness!

Calvin got some warm slippers from Mom and Dad and a gift card for Target from Grandma and Grandpa which he is super excited to spend :)
