Nana had her percussion competition today. She's been practicing for weeks. It's not super competitive yet, cuz it's just AA County schools, but you can't move up unless you get a rating of 1 (Superior). Once you have that rating, you can go on to compete at the state level.
She was sick for 2 weeks and missed her opportunity to compete solo (not enough preparation time) but was still able to perform with her group :) They did awesome, and got a rating of 1, so they are going to State!
The biggest criticism the judge had, which really wasn't a criticism, was that they needed to acquire better instruments for the next competition so that they could sound more professional.
This is today's performance of Interplay. They totally rocked it! They added a few more people for the competition, so it's a much better show than at the winter concert. This was taken with my video camera so it's also a better quality than the second video....
This is the video I took on my camera at the winter concert. It's fuzzy and not as clear, but you can see and hear Nana playing much better than in the first video. She was WAY sick for the concert but managed to do awesome anyhow. :)
