Arizona Trip Day 4

On the 4th day we left Amarillo, and headed to Santa Fe NM.

Jack found little tumbleweeds outside our hotel in Texas...we had to explain what tumbleweeds were lol

Lunch! We followed Route 66 to this cute little diner, literally the only working business on the block.....lots of cool abandoned buildings though.....it's called Kix On 66

Stopped in NM for fireworks souvenirs...got James a cool snake....

We got him a similar toy- an alligator -on our trip to Florida...they are made of wood and designed to be wiggly....

Tourist trap shops in downtown Santa Fe....we did some exploring before dinner, while waiting to be seated....totally worth the wait....

Calvin went to Mormon prom on a Friday night, and the military ball the next night, Saturday. He says that Mormon prom is officially WAY better. Too bad I only got pics of him in his uniform....

Arizona Trip Day 3

We left Little Rock, and headed for Amarillo TX. We did make one long stop in Oklahoma City cuz James dumped a strawberry smoothie into the duffel bag with his toys. It missed his kindle, thank goodness but the duffel bag didn't make it. We drove through a windy dust storm, and later, heard about hail that we apparently missed.

Arizona Trip Day 2

We spent day 2 driving from our hotel in Gatlinburg TN to our next hotel in Little Rock AR. On the way, we stopped in Memphis TN :)

Gatlinburg is basically a tourist trap in the mountains...didn't find out until we were leaving and got stuck in traffic :P
