Short Pump Virginia
Last summer when we visited my parents, we went to Short Pump to see a movie and do some sight seeing. Found this cool wall, and forgot to post about it. People can write whatever they want on this long chalkboard type wall. They hose it down every week so people can start fresh. They even supply the chalk. Cool, huh?

Youth Conference
Calvin and Savannah had a chance to do service for youth conference this year. They collected donations of cleaning supplies and did gardening/yard work for a place that rehabilitates people who have been involved in human trafficking. The Sunday afterwards, our Bishop talked a lot about Calvin, and how hard he worked getting the stumps out. Calvin was super embarrassed ;)

New Pets at the Beach
We finally made it to a hermit crab race. Unfortunately, you have to own a crab to race, but they were nice enough to let us borrow some :) Afterwards we bought our four favorite crabs to take home as pets, cuz one by itself would have gotten lonely.

Here are pics of the crabs we brought home, in the order of their demise. The first two died pretty close together after an encounter with James. Unfortunately we don't have a picture of Batman the Ginormous crab, who died of loneliness after the others had passed on.
